ACADEMIC APPROACH

The Male Leadership Academy will fulfill its mission and vision by providing a safe, caring environment where expectations are high and self-esteem is even higher. We propose to use a Christian Classical approach to education with an emphasis on preparing young men for the global marketplace. Our students will be challenged to connect new learning with prior knowledge in the development of strong academic skills; social skills; and leadership skills. Our students will be challenged to engage in higher-order thinking skills to become problem solvers. 

To achieve higher standards, The Male Leadership Academy will institute: 

• Smaller Class Sizes
• Challenging curricula which is Biblically integrated
• Longer school day and academic calendar
• A uniformed dress code
• A strong mentoring component
• Daily extra-curricular activities and physical exercise
• Character development and Christian values
• Weekly spiritual formation assemblies

We will extensively study how boy’s best learn and develop, and we will apply such findings throughout all parts of the school.

We believe in a wholistic approach to education.  We are educating minds, building healthy bodies, and nourishing spirits. None of these can happen in isolation. Boys who are supported in this way grow to become great men because we are leading them on a path to developing true strength of character.

We espouse Christian values, foster the distinctiveness of boys’ education, value diversity and individuality, and welcome students from a broad cross-section of society.

We aim to develop educated, considerate, and outward-looking young men who will use their talents responsibly for the good of the community and wider society.

We promote a culture of respect, encouragement, and working together in a professional, ethical and cooperative manner.
